At the age of 14, I started working with preschoolers in my native country, Mexico. Every Saturday afternoon, my youth group and I would go to catechesis at a Barrio outside my home town, Celaya. This was volunteer work that I continued until the age of 18.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at the University “Normal Justo Sierra”, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997. Seeking more knowledge on how to serve the child by respecting the laws of nature, I became a Montessori Certified Teacher with The International Montessori Society. I also hold a Certification level I and II of The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. And, I am a certified Child Center Director through KHDE (Kansas Department of Health and Environment). |
